Hell all. New OBS owner here. Just yesterday, I picked up a 1998 GMC SIERRA ext cab 4x4 Z71. She's got about 145000 miles on her and she runs pretty good.

Fast forward to today. After making several plans on what my gameplan for her would be, I walk outside to find that she left me a puddle of coolant in the driveway. I did a pressure test and found 2 leaks.

The first is the ever so common lower intake manifold. The second one, seems a bit wierd to me, as I have yet to experience a leak like this.

The second leak seems to be coming from some line under the truck on the driver's side. This line has a white plastic looking clip thing that attaches to it. This same line also looks to attach to an oil filter assembly.

Is there some sort of O-ring that tends to fail?
If there is no replacement, or if cost is way out there, is there a way to eliminate it altogether?[/

That sounds like the oil cooler line ... is it actually coming out of that line or maybe dripping onto that line from somewhere else??

LOL, I'm sorry....But I read the title and kept getting a mental picture of Geordie yelling, "Coolant Leak!", as the doors are comming down, and he's trying to get people out.... hehehe... sorry.....too much STTNG as a kid/adult.

But ya, anti-freeze out of the oil lines is bad. I'm betting on hole in rad leaking onto lines, and running down to the low spot.

Clean, degrease and dry those lines until they are bone dry. Spray the lines and fittings with aerosol foot powder. The powder will dry white and you will be able to detect where your leak originates from.
How does your oil look on the dipstick? Does it look like it has water in it?
