Tire is good for a cheap set of tires but quality is poor. The technology Cooper used is out dated. Do yourself a favor and get a newer product. Michelin LTX m/s2, or something comparable. The newer the product the newer the technology. There are a few tires that are an exception but only a few.

The reason I am asking is these are what my father has new and there almost gone, well almost ( a little less then half). I drove the truck this weekend and felt poor traction on gravel, wet grass but I wasnt sure if it was cause the truck was lite in the ass or what. When I suggested new tires he mentioned getting the same ones......

I recently purchased the MS2's for my Denali but he is not going to spring for 225 per tire. Going to see about getting him maybe the firestone destination a/t's or something along those lines. I wanted to see what everyone thought about the H/T's in hopes of convincing him to stay away ;)

I`ve had a set of cooper discoverer H/T plus 275/55/20 tires for the last two years and could not be happier with them.

They have very good tread wear, Great snow traction and a quiet ride.

Once they wear out i`m getting another set. For the price you can`t go wrong.
I`ve owned many different more expensive tire brands and cooper matches them equally without the extra $$.

Your are quiet? His definetely are not quiet.....and as far as good snow traction I am really surprised! But ah, if your happy thats all that matters!

As far as many differant more expensive brands, just cause its an expensive brand doesnt mean there good. There are Bridgestones, Michelins, Goodyears that rate in the toilet.....Just cause its a name brand doesnt mean there good! For example I bought my Acura RL with nearly new Michelin Pilot HX MXM4's after about 1 week I hit a huge NYC pothole and destroyed two rims and two tires. Went out and replaced the two tires which cost me over 600$ and let me tell you! THEY WERE THE BIGGEST POS's THAT I EVER OWNED IN MY LIFE! Sold all four for a fraction of what I paid for the two new ones!

I have the Cooper Zeon LTZ 305/50/20 and love them! Great look and ride without the high cost. I've had them about a year and a half and have over half tread left.

I will be buying another set!

Got the same Cooper LTZ on my tahoe your right they are great. The discoverer HT plus is a great all season tire but the (HT) is junk. Most oe Michelin tires are junk Like the pilots on your acura, but for a 17" tire for a full-size SUV the M/S2 will beat any tire out there.
