I've got a minor problem with my wipers. They are hitting the trim at the base of the windshield on each pass, especially when on high. I'm not sure what the proper operation is for the wipers on this vehicle. Basically when I turn them on, they just run the cycle all the way from top to bottom. When I shut them down, they stop at the bottom, but they don't drop any lower than the normal path.

What I am wondering is should they be staying a little higher for the wipe, then dropping down when they are shut off. If they are functioning normally then I will need to clock the wiper blade higher. Although there is not a whole lot of room before the driver's side contacts the outside of the windshield.

Thanks in advance for any advise. Surprisingly I could not find a video of normal wiper operation for nbs Tahoe or similar year GM pickup on youtube.

did this just start doing this? that'd be weird. if someone changed the blades recently, they probably got it a tooth off. you could take the whole assembly of and move rotate it one "tooth" the way you need to. but again, if this issue just started, i don't know.

I think I would have noticed this if it was happening before, although I'm not 100% sure. I've not driven the truck in the rain a whole lot as I have another vehicle. Blades have not been recently changed. But still looking to find out if the wipers should drop down when turned off.
