I meant *code

Yea, catalyst inefficiency.

So.. I hear it could be a bad bank2 cat, bad o2 sensor.

The autozone people are morons. Anywhere to start before I spend mega dollars on converters?

SO even though, I do NOT have a bad o2 code but HAVE a bad cat converter code... it STILL can be a o2 code?

No bro you can get a mail in tune or Data logging tune and still be able to turn it off.
Don't have to wait for a meet to come your way at all.

there is a TSB (tech service bulletin) for this code I have.

says often the ECM ground wire that goes to the cylinder head corrodes out. you all know where the wire is so I can check it exactly?

Not sure where it is, but you can buy the ALLDATA program for your Tahoe. It's $25 for the year. It has all of the manuals, diagrams, updated TSBs. It's good to have around for instances just like yours. Get yourself an external HD and just download everything from that website onto it and then you'll have a readily available bible for your hoe. I'm probably going to be doing it here myself fairly soon. I've done it with a few other of my vehicles. I know I didn't really answer your question, but hopefully I gave you some good info.

well the TSB for my code said check the ECM ground on the engine, and i think I found it on the pass side at the firewall, hard as hell to see. BUT>.. it was connected to the bolt to the chassis, so it was NOT corroded out. So i assume it is a cat or o2 sensor. ****
