Ok so I will possibly be in the market for a drop but I am unsure of the best/most reliable/most comfortable method.

I was thinking a 2/3

Do I do the LCA method or spindles?

I hear keys aren't the best way to lower it so I'm thinking about ruling them out.

My question is how do the 3" LCAs drop the truck and how are they adjustable for 2-3"? And do stock ball joints work as replacements?

And as for spindles, how is the installation? Is trimming or cutting involved?

And on either of these set ups is it possible to run billstein 4600s? If not what are some good shocks that won't break the bank.

I searched, just got done filing through 12 pages in the street suspension forum and I'm just curious about people's opinions on these 2 methods.

Thanks!

keys will give you a harsh ride if you go lower than 1.5 inches. Do spindles. It keeps your ride the exact same, just moves the hub up 2 inches. you have to cut the lower ball joint end if you run smaller than 20's, but it's no issue. But either way, you can't run smaller than a 17" rim.

With spindles, you would run whatever shock you want that replaces the factory shock (same size)

Spindles and leave the stock keys alone. Bilstein 4600's work great with that setup.
