Noticed I was leaking a little trans fluid the other day and while I was under there I noticed a couple lose hoses hangin. I have no idea if there supposed to be attached to something or not. They are both coming out the passenger side of the trans pan and go on top of the trans to who knows what.

I think I see a transfer case in there so I would say they are the tranny a t-case vent lines. They are supposed to be mounted up in there clamps and should have a little plastic dingies on each to prevent water ingestion.

This doesn't look good.

Ok. The transmission vent is a small tube with a plastic elbow that comes off the top and routs over the exhaust on the body on the drivers side. Above the exhaust it is paired with another hose and wrapped in that foil heat shield wrap. The end (6") of the rubber tube has an aluminum sleeve in it. Like brake line wrapped in rubber.

The transfer case is a bigger rubber hose that comes off the top of the case and routs forward on the passenger side over the transmission over the bell housing, up the transmission dipstick tube and is clipped on at the back of the head. It has a small check valve cap on it.

Got it, the transfer case one is cut too short to make it up the dip stick. Could I just get the vent cap for it and zip tie it up some where?
I'm still not seeing where the trans line goes too but ill keep looking. Does that one have a vent cap at the end as well?

No vent cap on the trans.
If possible I would replace the transfer case with a longer one and rout it to where the factory put it. In my mind there is a reason that they put it up so high. You can get a barbed union and extend the legnth of the hose that is there.
