I have a passenger side wiper that will barely work at times and when I need them most it will go all the over into the path of the driver side wiper and hit it or go under it etc. I am assuming that it may be stripped but I only think of it when it rains. Any ideas on what the possible cause is, how easy it is to fix it and what parts are involved? Thanks for the help.

haven't worked on one of these, sorry.
in the old days it was one motor and a set of links to make both move, and a common issue was that the bushings would wear out leaving the passenger side disconnected or flopping about excessively.

your problem sounds excessive for a link bushing... suggest you get the cowl cover out of the way and do check for stripped splines or a stripped out wiper arm. If it were either you would think the arm would have already popped off. maybe it is a combo problem of wear in multiple parts.

this has happened to some of my friends trucks. It ended up being a loose nut that holds the wiper on. I would check this nut first, I believe it is located at the base of the wiper where the wiper arm pivots.
