Cruise control intermittent

I have a 2004 Tahoe Z-71 and my cruise has been acting up for a while. I finally replaced the turn signal/cruise switch and it worked great for a trip to Texas and back. Then started acting up again. I just replaced the brake switch on the brake pedal and didn't seem to make a difference. It's weird that it acts up more in the mornings headed to work than any other time. What else should I be looking at?

Are you in stop and go traffic? If so, it may be a heat issue. Alternately, you could have a loose or bad ground -- a common issue in these vehicles. Another possibility is that you could have a wire that has an abraded sheath; after 17 years in your vehicle, this is a distinct possibility as well. Finally, you could be having issues with a circuit board, and it's only an issue while it is warm; it may expand just enough to give you a very small open condition. I'd inspect all the wires involved in your cruise control system, including continuity testing if possible. If they all check out, I'd move on to checking your grounds. If they all check out, I'd check the computer system that controls your CC. Good luck!

try a new fuse also even if looks good

on top of that are there any other issue's going on? braking problems? any lights on the dash or messages in the DIC?
