I didn't get much love here and still trying to troubleshoot. Since last code reset, all seems to be working fine but it was warm outside. Today it got to about 20 degrees and the truck, while did not give out any errors, was idling rough while cold and this crumbling noise was coming from throttle body area. Any tips? I did replace throttle body sensor and cleaned throttle body. I did start using E85 gas recently (my truck does take E85) so perhaps that might be an issues. I did not replace throttle body itself as all seemed to be in order when I took it out to clean.

Hard to say. Could be a idler pulley bearing or a flaky AC compressor as well. Best thing to do is get a mechanic’s stethoscope in there to pinpoint precisely where it’s coming from.

Did you check the video i posted? i would compare it to loose nuts and bolts enclosed in pvs pipe as one shakes it.

Tried today to rev it a bit and the noise stays constant. Driving on highway in 20 degrees today it seemed like there is a sporadic power loss (feels like hitting strong head winds). It does seem like a throttle body related. I put my eat on throttle body today and almost certain that it is the cause of the noise. I would attribute it to a throttle body valve vibrating lopse inside. I will have to replace it to see if it fixes the issues.

Well, looks like it was a bad throttle body. i ended up replacing the entire unit with used off ebay and all seems to be fine now
weird just saw the video, sounded like something smacking on plastic, wouldn't have guessed the throttle body based on the video alone. glad you got it figured out
