curious about running 2 4 channel amps

i have 2 4 channel alpine amps. one is a lil older and smaller so i was thinking..

bigger 4 channel to run 4 midbass door speakers
and
smaller 4 channel to run the 4 matching tweeters

basicly not running the crossovers that come with the speakers.

does that sound right.

put crossover between the head unit and amps and that will work great.

What do you mean use a cross over. Both amps have built in cross overs.

Sorri. I just asumed people knew alpine run crossovers built in.

the only trick part will be if the alpine amp x overs will go high enough for the tweeter. u will need somewhere around 4k .

This is the same thing I was thinking.

I have done this before, but I had tweeter crossovers on the speaker wires between the amp and tweeters. It worked out pretty good.

i may scrap the hole thing after the first of the year and just order all new stuff.
