I am getting a custom tune done by a local shop they have a good rep I know multiple people that have trucks tuned there. What are some things I need to ask them about? He did talk about tuning the PCM for a E fan conversion so its already set up It just needs the pins plugged into the PCM, torque management, speed limiter and I am thinking about going with a 93 octane tune. Any input is welcome.

Assuming you have stock internals in your engine? If so I would delete all torque management, up the speed limiter, delete all emissions codes, adjust PE percentage and ramp in rate, add timing, delete cat overtemp if you have headers, and adjust shift pressures to get a nice firm shift.

Torque management is a goner for sure, speed limiter is going up, internals are completely stock, I am going to a 93 tune so there will be a timing increase, and I am getting line pressure upped, as far as the PE percentages and ramp in rate you lost me there lol

Dont have headers at the moment but plan on going to longtubes and catless Y pipe in the future I know I will need a retune for that so I will probably wait to get all that done when I have the means to do the cam and spring swap on it like I want to.

I would set PE around 1.13 enrichment, and bring it in quicker/sooner then stock.

Power enrichment. Its a more aggressive fueling strategy for wide open throttle vs your normal cruising around.
Thanks
My tune is done and I mentioned everything except that !!! But the guy I used was very fussy and kept adjusting untill he was happy. He was very thuro and asked me exactly what I wanted. I also talked about what I thought I knew about tunning and he some of what he did was off of that. Over all I am very happy. Great power and Better miliage than the 5.3. Thanks for the help
