I just took a 8" c-clamp and cut off the swivel on the threaded end and it worked great..

With mine it didn't really take much to move the keys with the c-clamp. I don't know if I'd take a chance with one of those 2arm pullers though.. C-clamps are really cheap at the harware store, it think I paid $5 for it after I couldn't find a place that sold or rented the torsion tool.

Ya me niether bro, I think I may go the long way and just take down the ctrl arm with the floor jack to lower it down ez. Heading to south dallas to pick up a new torsion bar, I finally found my vibration issue :rocking:

Note to self, mark the torsion bar indexes when you are removing them and reinstall them the same way they came out! Otherwise the load reversal=vibration :nono:

Too much work bro. Just go with the c-clamp. The torsion tool is essentially that, a c-clamp with the rounded threaded end..

The gear puller is perfect for the torsion bars. I cant see any danger with using it. I have done a few trucks with it. and its free at autozone
