Damaged wheel surface in Yukon

Picking up a Yukon xl tomorrow and it
lt looks like the clear on these wheels has started to come off then started pitting the metal underneath. Any ideas or suggestions on repair or posssibly painting them? Just looking for the most budget friendly way to get the eyes sore gone.

Plasti Dip is cheapest and easiest. Powder coated more durable, but more expensive. You could tape and rattle can yourself with some clear, but a bit more work. Just options to consider.

Add up the costs of materials and your time, decide it you want to put that effort in or consider Craigslist for some other wheels. Perhaps with a set of tires or not. That might be a cheap alternative to change up the look and not break the bank.

I just sanded mine with a palm sander. Took off the center caps and went to town. Think I went from 100 grit down to 600 gradually. Then polished

How did they turn out isu-152? I think that may be my best bet since the wheels dont have too much of a concave to them.

I do like to mess with plastidip but I dont know if I could get that nice metal look with it to match the original wheels.

Find a better looking one from the junkyard. $45 usually. That's what I did.

Not %100 perfect but I'm sure with some more effort it could be better. Mine had the same exact problem yours do.

O yeah those look slick if they started like mine! Did you say you started at 600 then went to 1000? I'm guessing you could spray some clear or polish them?

Sorry I meant I started with 100 to 600

wow 100-600? I figured that would not have ended up as smooth as your look. I will have to go get some sandpaper soon, hate the way they look right now. It is only on one side of the vehicle also. Maybe they will be a close match to the others once done.

Here is another solution. I'm doing my stock wheels this weekend and cheap.
