So I am about to go on a long trip and turn on the ignition.and onstar starts their welcome message immediately.I thought I accidentally touched the onstar button. I drove off and after a while the onstar welcome message comes on again.and then several times later. I called Onstar who ran some checks but could find no problem.but advised me to visit my gm dealer. I ask them to disable my account because there is no way I could drive 100 miles with my music CDS and xm music being randomly overridden by Onstar voice greetings.
I also asked if I could disconnect the cord that is attached to rearview mirror
The said doing so would messup the other settings for my truck.
Onstar disabled the account but the problem did not go away and I was harassed all the way from from start to finish on my trip.
