Hi guys. New guy here and hope this doesn't seem like a dumb question but I have a 1998 Tahoe I bought about a month ago. Dash is broken in several places like so many others. Today I bought a 1998 Silverado for parts and it has an unbroken dash pad if you can believe it. Anyway, I want to swap them but are there any tricks to remove and replace because I'd sure hate to break the good one while trying to get it in. Thanks for the help!

Ok, so upon further investigation, I think I have discovered that the DASH does not have a "pad" like other cars I have worked on. Seems the top of the dash that is cracked on my Tahoe is part of the entire dash. Am I correct on this? Looks like it will be a pretty big job to swap out the dashes from these two trucks. Is this right? Thanks guys!

Yea its all one piece. If you take your time and look at your new dash you should be able to see where all the screws are at. The hard part will be taking everything off, gages, radio, ac controls and glove box. Take your time and give your self about 3 hours.
