Hey everyone.

I want to apologize first off as I am sure this question has come up before but I can't find the thread.

I have a 2007 Youkon Denali XL. I bought a dashcam and it came with the harness to hardwire it.

Unfortunately it appears that there are no keyed power sources readily available to add a fuse to, and I am too chicken to attempt to fish a wire through the firewall to the engine compartment. So I have a dilemma.

My only thought was to make an invisiwire style harness and tap into the back of the mirror.

So I have a few questions....

1, Would that work or would the extra .5 amps trip the fuse?

2, What wires in the connector do I connect it to? Do I connect it right at the mirror or in the overhead somewhere?

3, Any other ways to get a keyed power source inside the car? I am fine running the wires anywhere inside the car but the thought of drilling through the firewall makes me nervous.

Thanks for the help.
