Day time running lights

Something weird happened tonight my drl indicator came on when I had my headlight switch on I couldn't use my high beams or anything I turn my headlight switch off and on it didn't help any suggestions on what to check

internal fault of the headlight switch normally or the yellow wire between it the the drl module.

when headlamp switch on fully back probe the yellow wire at back of switch for voltage. if system voltage is not there then switch maybe at fault if power to red and orange wires is present.
