I recently bought an 02 Tahoe it's a 5.3 DBC...I realized pretty quickly that the cable needed to be tightened or something because flooring it was obviously not opening it up, more like necessary to get on the highway. There was a good bit of slack, is it possible that they stretch over time? I rigged it to work for now with a couple zip ties, I would love a better solution. Any ideas? If attaching a picture doesn't work it is because I'm new and don't know what I'm doing.

I cant speak for these trucks specifically , but I know for years dodge cummins had issues with throttle cables stretching over time, and even issues several recalls for it. My guess, replace the cable.
