Decided to take my moldings off and debadge the tahoe today

and yes the rust is getting fixed by the end of the month

Nice job taking off the trim work without wrecking the paint. Was that heat gun you used? What did you use for chemically breaking down the paint?

I've never been bothered by the molding but damn, these trucks look clean without it!

Isn't it crazy how much of a difference demolding/debadging makes?

You taking off the little LS badges too?

replace that barn door and raise up that bumper or fill in that gap :)

but looks good otherwise. glad to see you didnt destroy the paint

yes i used a heat gun to remove the moldings then used an eraser wheel to remove the rest of the adhesive. After that i sprayed some brake clean on a rag and wiped the areas down.

i've debated taking the LS badges off. i would like it better with them off but i'm afraid that there will be too much paint fade underneath them seeing as that part of the truck does get a lot more sun and its a dark blue

as far as the bumper i dont think i'm really gunna mess with it until i get a z71 style rear bumper. but yes the rust will be fixed by the end of the month
