What he means is the lip around the edge should be black after 2004 and red if 2000-03, and your steering wheel and cluster mean it is an 03 or newer with it having the info center under your gear selector. Like the debadge too.

@Seth: Oh, the lights came off my brothers 03 tahoe and so did the cluster. They were in better cond. when we traded it.
