I had a surco brand on my Jeep grand cherokee. They are good as are Yakima. You can get the tire storage and a lot of add on stuff for the surco for pretty cheap. I had a gas can holder, hi-lift mount and tire carrier and was also able to hold a couple shovels too. With room for storage box still.

Mine was more the basket type like this.

I sold it with my Jeep. Look up Rage brand roof racks. They are inexpensive
