So here it is. I went from an OBS Hoe to the NBS Suburban. I am thankful we did not go for a diesel Excursion. While I love the size of it I am learning a lot about chevy and really wanna stick to GM. I honestly never owned an "american" ride until the hoe. I always have had Toyota or Nissan. But here is my new ride.

It is a 2000 Suburban. It was used for the last 9 years as a shuttle and ****** truck for a hotel in Seattle. So needless to say the mileage is crazy high. It is right now at 243,000 miles. They have rebuilt the motor and replaced the tranny. It also came with a brand new battery, window, power steering components, and they did new plugs wires and cap.

It idles really well accelerates and slows great however it has a few issues.
The driver seat sucks! it has been used and abused and the corner is tore up. Also it is all leather interior but has no power windows or power mirrors or power seats in front.

The front seats are a bench seat style set up with a middle seat instead of center console. While it is good I need a center console set up. Partly for storage of my gun and kit stuff but also I just like the look better. I wanted to install my CB and stuff in there. Needs a new CD Player also.

My ABS light and EBrake light are stuck on as well. This is bugging me but I am going to hit up a JY and pull parts asap.

If anyone has some insight in upgrading the seats and the windows let me know! I am going to get the HD towing mirrors and do that soon.

But here it is as it sits today. The euro tails are ok but I might upgrade to LEDs or smoke them and toss LED bulbs in it. I also would like to lower it some. I want to stay low and fast in this not lifted like the tahoe with big tires etc. IT currently is on 275/70/R17 Goodyear wranglers. The fronts are worn a to about 50% but the rear are brand new ones. Oh and I just detailed the interior its nice and clean.

Nice platform for a nice ride :waytogo:

To upgrade your windows will be a huge undertaking I'm thinking but maybe someone has already done that.

For the seats, it shouldn't be a big deal. Find seats from another early model NBS Burb or Hoe (maybe even Yukon or XL) that are to your liking and they should be plug and play. If you're wanting power seats hooked up, though, you'll have to do some electrical work and probably some other "stuff" to get it working. I'm not an electrical kinda guy so I'll let someone more knowledgeable speak to that aspect :)

Ok well if anyone wants that center seat and the 3rd row let me know! I will sell it cheap or trade for NBS parts. They are like dark grey leather. No issues. I just dont need a 3rd row or a center seat.

It drives well this morning though it started a little rough I think an injector is clogged. So I am off to the store to get some TB cleaner and seafoam.

Thanks guys. An 03 Tahoe is being parted out but I am not sure on the interior color. I also gotta get the running boards. this thing while not lifted is lacking running boards and I got a pregnant GF that is 4'10'' and is not having much fun getting into it.

has anyone ever seen a mod to get wipers on the back? Because DAMN! It snows a lot in my area. And that entire back window gets covered in about 2-5 minutes out.

An 03 tahoe won't work for what you need.

You need to stick to 00-02 because the wiring is different

Oh ok. Thanks good looking out because I was about to get dressed and head out. Now I gotta check locally again. Will silverado or sierra work as well?
