My wife called and said the 2003 yukon 5.3 would take a few seconds to respond with power after hitting the throttle. TPS?

I've wathced how to do it on youtube, but it scares me taking the engine apart like that. Is it better to let mechanic do the work? Taking apaprt wires/hoses intimidates me.

Then let a mechanic do it. Also, while he's there, he'll automatically do the intake gaskets but have him also do the oil pressure sending unit (much easier to get to with the manifold off). The labor will be the same, you would just be adding on parts cost.
