My 04 Z71 has developed an exhaust leak. I crawled under to check it out and found when the previous owner added headers he did a cat delete and the back two o2 connecters are just hanging there. It has CEL codes for P0134 (o2 sensor CKT no activity bank 1 sensor 1) and P1133 (manufacturer control fuel air metering). I've been reading post after post and looking for a solution and read you can calibrate the back two o2 sensors out when a cat delete is done. How would I know if he did that? The P0134 code sounds like it wasn't calibrated out and its looking for sensor reading? Do the front two have to be changed to a wide band if back two are deleted? I dont know what the difference is? I did find leaks at the clamps and will start by replacing them. Any insight would be appreciated.

o2 sensors do just die with age. id replace both bank one and bank two up stream sensors.

if you have no codes for the down stream o2's they have been deleted in the trucks tune. no other way to not have a cel and the plugs just hanging free in the air. so likely the trucks been tuned, and thats generally a good thing.

Your PO0134 is for the upstream sensor or circuit on the driver's side. The first one in line, not the one that would have been after the cat.

I was thinking same thing on replacing sensors just for maintenance and know what I have. Dont need a wide band...just replace with stock correct?

look em up on rock auto, likely the cheapest place to get em from. stick with ac delco sensors too.

wb is a whole other sensor, its not stock, its a after market air fuel ratio gauge. nice to have if your tuning your engine. mine is tuned, and i have one in my hoe. tahoe wb.jpg
