We have a 2008 Yukon Denali and the ashtray lid took a crap. Basically the plastic slide that sits under the chrome buttom is worn and doesnt' work anymore. So now the lid will not stay closed and the button is kinda jenky.

I looked online and it appears as if I the lid is part of a complete assembly that comes with the wood trim / bezel and both flip doors. Part # 2591288 which is around 200.00!!!!!!

Well, needless to say I really don't want to spend two hundred plus dollars to fix a little door.

I would like to keep the stock look and not change out to the LT style. It's the wife's vehicle and if I change it out to the tray style........it will be full of chit!!!

Does anyone have any suggestions or ideas where I can get some kind of parts to fix this up??????

HELP!!!

and Thanks!!!!

nope. everyone who's tried to glue/fix it, hasn't stayed fixed for long. Keep checking eBay or craigslist or a junk yard

Damn ...... Not exactly what I wanted to hear but I was kinda expecting it.

As mentioned before I was hoping to avoid changing it over to the LT style to avoid the dreaded clutter but does anyone have any good pics of this change or part numbers?

Cheapest I could find was on ebay.

Spoke with a couple different dealers on ebay and they were pretty helpful. They both requested the VIN to verify the part was correct.
