I'm trying to fix my rear ds seat. 99 yukon Denali. The cable is broken. I can't pull on the cable guessing it is either too short or the latch is seized. Saw a post on removing the bolts out of the seat bottom n lift to unlatch. But I don t think that's going to work for me either. I need a pic of the latch mech that goes to the floor so I can have an idea of how to proceed. I'm able to get limited access from behind the seat. I just need a pic of that latch and the floor mount. Please help. I'm almost ready to hulk the seat out.

I'm having this same problem on my 97 Tahoe. Just bought it 2 days ago. Spent hours yesterday on it to no avail. Any help on this issue would be of great help. Thanks

I had the same issue with my 98 Tahoe I just bought, though there were no bolts in the rear of either sections of the seat and even after pulling it out of the truck I had a hard time getting it un-stuck. I can grab some pics of the locking mechanism & the release mechanism though without being able to pull the seat out I think the best you can do is shoot some pb blaster at it and yank on the cable.

The cable runs from the strap to the center of the 60 portion where the seat belts are. You can pull the Velcro under the seat and find the cable. Maybe that can help you on your journey.

Try putting some weight on the seat when you pull on the strap, too.
