Denali vs Camry

Well I've had the Denali about two weeks now and with all the crazy shoppers out today a Camry wasn't paying attention and rear ended me pretty good. Judging by my truck you wouldn't have thought so but here's some pics.

Damn yea a old lady was about to ram the side of the explorer but we honked.if i woulda had the tarus i woulda let her hit me

Definitely, get yours checked out, professionally. If the step pad is sprung, the steel bumper behind the fascia may need some attention, also. Found out the fascia on mine had been replaced, before. The metal bumper is bent and it really isn't level.

Luckily it was just me in the truck so the wife is ok. Bad part is I'm going through back issues this year which is why I have the Denali instead of my old f250 so it flared my back and neck up pretty good...awesome. Ill take a look at the steel bumper tomorrow and see what's up. Either way its going to a body shop and they are paying for it.

Pardon the ignorance, but I'm under the impression that if you get rear ended with your tow ball mounted and such you risk chassis frame damage, even at low low speed impacts ? Kind of makes sense since most of the impact is concentrated instead of distrusted more over the whole bumper. My girl friend and I were driving in her Tahoe, and she was rear ended with the tow ball on. We were thrown a good bit out of our seat, considering it was such a low speed impact (~5-10km/h). Lots of damage to the car that hit us, not a scratch on the hoe.

No it looks like she got out of left lane toward right n smaked him. There appears to be no damage on the hitch that would indicate it. When i was rear eneded it just pushed my bumoer a lil but nothing else...

They didn't hit the hitch, we were in a turn lane and I was turned kind of, he tried to swerve to the left of is and to avoid hitting me so his right front hit my left rear if that makes sense.

A far as having the hitch getting hit, yea your going to feel it more because there is no "give" from anything
