So i'm not going to change the housings, I'm going to drop in some HIDs from retrofit source. The projectors are probably to the as the HID ones, GM wouldnt design two seperate headlight housings as that costs more cash. As far as the wrap, its actually getting dipped. Im going with Anthracite Grey with a Satin finish. But thats down the line.

They are definitely different headlights.

The OE HID bulbs will not fit in the OE non-HID projectors.

I could be wrong but I don't think you'll need to swap housings. Unlike your 2008 the new trucks have projector housings already. On my 2009 Pontiac G8 I was able to buy a cheap bulb/ballast/relay setup from ddmtuning that dropped right in. Looked as good as any factory HID's I've seen.

Projector housings for HIDs have slightly different optics than projectors for halogen bulbs. I've heard of only a handful of cases where they look right after swapping the bulb only. The housings are only 120 bucks apiece so it makes sense to do it right if you're going to bother on a new 50-70k truck. It's a safety deal as far as I'm concerned. I can't stand seeing these idiots drive down the road with HID bulbs inside of halogen reflector housings. I know that's not what we're talking about here but I think of them in the same way :2cents:

So, the recall got fixed in 30 minutes so that's no longer an issue. Hopefully I'll be picking it up this week or next.

What was the residual % and money factor for the lease? I heard the residuals were 60%+ on these new truck which is a great sign for resale.

Not sure I would really want to mod a leased vehicle; but even if you purchase you probably do better uninstalling and selling the mods on eBay before selling so it kinda makes sense... it's just a pain in the butt to "unmod" it.

Residual was amazing, I got 15k miles and 36months and it was exactly 60%.money factor was . 0015 which was okay. As far as modding goes, my last Infiniti had everything changed including a header back exhaust with test pipes and dealer couldn't care less, even fudged the service papers. It took a a couple weeks to go back to stock but well worth it

.0015 is 3.6% so that isn't bad. About the highest residual you can find on a 12,000 mile lease is 65%. So 60% on a 15,000 is great.

When you put a down payment with the trade do you get a break on the sales tax like you do with a purchase? I think with a lease you just pay tax on the payment about so if the trade reduces the payment I guess you would not pay tax on it?
