Hey guys I just bought an 04 suburban and everything was ok but now the seat adjustment is backwards sometimes, mirrors fold but adjust intermittently, seat heaters flash intermittently, rear DVD isn't working (disk format error), AC blows hot in drivers side sometimes (blend door actuator?)etc

How many and where are they? I know about the one behind the engine that usually gives problems. There are more?

Should be two together on the frame under the drivers door and one under the front bumper just inside the drivers fog light.

My seat switch worked backwards and I found a GM bulletin dated May 26th, 2005 addressing the issue. It's a software update for the driver seat module. Document ID 1665575. Worked for me.

I'd clean the contacts in the seat and mirror adjuster switches. Another member recently fixed his seat adjuster by doing this. The mirror switches needing to be cleaned is a common issue and the seat switch failing for the same reason makes sense. Switches that aren't used so often get like this because using them helps to keep the contact points inside them clean. Maybe we should all make it a weekly thing to sit in our cars (they don't need to be on or running for this) and work all the switches that we don't use so often.

*Edit*
I missed the detail about the seat operating backwards. At least you have a explanation, thanks to Kevin!

Well heck. My yukon seat is working backwards also. Push the switch to go towards the steering wheel and it goes back. I just figured whoever had it before me jacked with the wires and put it together wrong. I guess I need to swing by a dealer and see what it would cost to have it updated.
