My fuel gauge is doing the usual symptom of hanging around the 1/4 full or empty mark. The fuel light still seems to be accurate, and the fuel gauge crawls up after about 20 minutes of driving. I have read other posts that indicate it is either the step-motor in the gauge or the sending unit in the tank. My question is how to determine which one is the deficient component? Is there a quick way to test one or the other component to rule it out? Opinions?
