So I've now driven two Suburbans, an '04 and an '05. The '04 was much nicer, but when I drove the '05 I noticed that the Driver Information Center (DIC) would display the pressure of each tire, which I thought was really cool. Then driving the nicer '04 I couldn't pull up that function on the DIC. Both were LT package so I'm thinking the ability to monitor each tire separately wasn't added until 2005, yes?
Also, on the ones where the TPMS monitors each tire separately, how do tire rotations work? Do you need to swap sensors when rotating tires or does it somehow "know" (maybe by "position sensing") where each tire is?
This isn't a dealbreaker - looks like I will likely get the '04 just because of the lower miles and significantly better overall condition. But I was curious as I did like the idea of being able to monitor all 4 tires separately.
