Did Avalanche/Esky EXT have a G80??

Wondering if the 2003-2006 Avalanche or Esky EXT came with an optional G80?

or were they all AWD?

Can anyone confirm this?

I think only the 01-02 did when they had the np149 transfer case. When the 03-06 changed to the Borg Warner unit, the G80 was not offered. If it's 2WD, I'm sure G80 was offered.

Hmm okay, in that case is the Borg Warner also a locker?

No, it's an open style transfer case. The older np149 had a viscous clutch that had better traction

I believe the 03-06 with the Borg Warner open transfer case, the computer used the brakes to mimic a locker. If you add a G80, it may mess with that system, I'm not sure though

Did the trucks with the Borg Warner also come AWD?

Were there any 03-06 Avalanche/Eskies that came with a 4x4 option? Or weren’t they all AWD?

Borg Warner is AWD only..

I know the Esky came AWD only. I think on the Yukon Denali, it was AWD only.
