Ok guys in 95' the 2 door tahoes had a diesel option
sooo
i really wanna put a diesel in my hoe like a 6.5L
so if i find a 95 with a diesel in it i wanna do a swap
how hard could it possibly be
swapping over the diesel stuff witch itsnt that bad (im a diesel tech)
then getting the truck refereed to it doesnt need to be smoked anymore
but how sick would that be a lifted beefed up diesel!!
i REALLY wanna do this hopefully by summer

that be pretty cool, but those old 6.5L's werent turbo right? I think swapping a diesel into it would b cool, but making that diesel turbo would b better.

Ditto, if I was going to go thru the hassle it would be a bad ass Duramax or Cummings with an Allison behind it.

6.5 is a turbo diesel, your thinking of the naturally aspirated 6.2

I believe in california you can't swap a diesel engine into a car/truck that was originally made for gas. You won't be able to make it a legal swap.

But I believe you can go the other way and put a gas engine into a diesel truck and get it refereed to be a smog legal swap here.

just because shops do it doesnt mean its legal. if you want it to be legit, do all the research you can. wouldnt be a bad idea to stop by a referee station and talk to those guys. keep in mind some are more knowledgeable than others but you might get some good info. cali is pretty strict on this stuff.....its not really worth it anymore to mess around with mods that arent legal.
