Disabling stock sub in Tahoe

Well i have my system in the tahoe as most know, but the damn stock sub still works..it makes it sound ****** when you have the rear hatch open and its partially blown..what do i do to unhook it, besides taking the back apart to get to it..thanks

Just pull it apart and cut the wire, I'm not sure if you can pull any fuse since it's tied into a larger amplifier iirc. I'm sure JK would know. Honestly it will only take a few minutes to pull apart, then just cut that shit with a pair of dykes and call it a day. My other speakers sounded better after cutting mine, way less current draw with the ****** stock sub.

my box is a ***** to get in and out by myself lol..its so wedged in there..

I pulled apart the plastics where the sub is mounted and unplugged the red/black wiring harness and it turned it off. I had to disable mine after I installed my Pioneer indash b/c it was over pushing the sub and causing it to distort.
