Do auto dealers have to give you online price?

They are quoting me ( Chevy) at $840 with both leather parts.

They are quoting $1300 with bottom seat cover and upper seat cover (leather) ebony with parts and labor and tax.
It appears that you are comparing two different costs.

$840 for parts & $1300 for parts, labor and taxes.

If I’m understanding this incorrectly, I apologize.

The dealer probably has close to a $200/hr shop rate so if they go with 2 hrs of shop time, you’re at $1240 then with taxes, you’re right at $1300 with them honoring the advertised price of $840 on the parts.

Sounds about right one way or another I ended up getting the seats for about $200 cheaper and have an upholster put it on. One way or another it will be cheaper than the dealer.
