Do I have to change out fuel pump connector with new one?

I don't get what the major difference is between this new connector and the old one. All I really see is the old one has a BLK/WHT wire and the new one has an ORN/BLK wire.

Just trying to see if it's worth slicing into the harness for this.

Unless you have damage where the pins connect or the thing is crumbling with corrosion, I would go with the original, as long as it was working before.
Maybe hose it down with some electric terminal cleaner spray, just to get the contacts as clean as possible...

But... If it ain't broke, I wouldn't bother replacing it.
The wiring is the same.

If purchased separately, I'd return for credit.
If included in the new pump, I would (maybe) keep as a spare.

Why splice in new connections that could fail, if you don't really have to?

That's the upgraded "flat-four" connector, which, your truck already has. The old style had the four pins in a square "two-by-two" formation. It was insufficient, long-term, for the amperage and often burned out. Many replacement fuel pumps for the GMT800 trucks included the new pigtail in case yours had the old style so you could upgrade it to plug it into the new pump.
