Dome light

I can turn the dial on for my dome light to come on but can't get it to come on when i open the door pushed the on an off switch many times which is off and which is on .the warnung bell comes on when door open have all the switches front pass. Front driver and rear barn right is there a seperate wire for this ? If so can someone tell me how to fix not a biggy but just somethin thats been on the list to fix.

No other courtesy lights turn on or is it just that dome light?

all other lights come on but dosent the dome suppose to come on when opening the door

i take thet back the floor lights aswell as the dome doesnt come on when the door is opened

And I am guessing the door lights do not come on either? It is gonna be the door switch, it is by the fuse panel.

i didnt have door lights i take it my tahoe was more of a work truck package if they made that model i had door red reflectors no molding in the back area ,mostly metal and rubber mat but the door switch works i guess it turns off and on the warning bell

sounds like maybe the override button may be stuck.

No, all bulbs work fine.

So the dial works and the door switch works. Like, Boom mentioned, the override button might be stuck. You said you can press it and the lights do not come on?

yes ,is there a way to bypass the switch
