I have a 1999 Denali. I have put new heads, timing chains, plugs, wires, fuel pump and filter and a distributor. It has always started hard after sitting over night and here in Florida it's not cold in the morning. It has been getting worse so I change the fuel filter and that did not help. Now it will not start!
I have checked fuel pressure while cranking and it was 60lbs. and it holds pressure. It has spark but seems like it doen't even want to fire up. I have no idea where to look next. Would I have spark if the distributor module or the crank sensor where bad? I thought of fuel pressure regulator but it holds pressure. At my wits end. Any ideas. Also what is the difference with the new fuel injectors I have read about? But 1st things 1st lets get it started,
HELP PLEASE.

You crank sensor is good otherwise it would not spark. May I ask how the dizzy was installed? And if a new cap/ rotor was included with it.

It was a new dizzy with a new cap and rotor and it ran well. I fixed it the rotor tab broke off! I don't know how it had spark. I checked it at the coil and at the plug. It didn't look right though it was yellow not that blue high voltage spark. I had pulled the cap to see if the dizzy was turning when I found the rotor. Thanks for the reply. Now the new fuel injectors you talk about will the kit come with the bracket and is it a straight bolt in? I know I need to get gaskets also. Mine are so far good but I know down the road they will need to be replaced. My troubles started when in the morning for the first start of the day it would crank and crank and like I said here in florida it's not cold. After that it's fine. I changed the fuel filter thinking it may have been that when the shit hit the fan with the no start problem. Any ideas on the start problem, I have 60lbs on the gauge when I go to crank, at least it starts now. I worked at Chrysler on the line years ago but with this new stuff and not the right equip it makes it hard. Thanks, John

Injector body in the delphi kit should have bracket already and bolt right in (just one bolt). plus the plenum gaskets. If you run the A/C make sure condensation is not drowning out your dizzy cap.

When you say the A/C are you talking about the A/C drain? It's fine but I have now gotton a bad water leak on the windshield. What you thinking, water getting on the dizzy? It has been starting in the mornings for the last few days, maybe that fuel filter worked. Getting back to the injector setup does it come with instructions of some kind and will I need any special tools? How will I know when they need to be replaced?
Thanks, John

Condensation from the rear line getting on the dizzy. Instructions included but if you need more for the whole plenum removal let me know. I think you will need a torx bit but forgot what size. Should be smaller then a T50 for sure. Best way is a combination of tests like a injector balance test, reading your plugs and visual inspection.
