99 Yukon 4 door

I have to slam the driver's door to get it to close all the way. When it's closed all of the way, it sits about 3/8" closer to the door jamb than the front of the rear door.

Unless I'm missing something, the striker does not seem to be adjustable. Would new pins and bushings fix this? There is no other play in the door. It's just the only one that needs slammed as has to sit so far in to be closed "properly".

Thanks...

I'm curious. Has anyone replaced the center pin that the spring hits?

I am doing an overhaul on my doors because my drivers interior handle broke off, my passenger interior handle is also on its way out. Both exterior handles are junk. My passenger latch is also no good. Its very hard to open and close both doors. Going over any kind of bump or crack in the road, it sounds like my doors are going to fall off, literally. You can hear them bang up and down on the strikers. Kinda scary.

i'm not entirely sure that the door spring is even necessary except to make it a bit easier to open the door. from what i've read, new pins, latch, striker is all you'll need to stop them from banging around.

Sounds like a typical 90s GM product to me.

My driver's door makes noise over bumps. I cut the roller pins when they bent and it was hard to open the doors. The springs fell out also. Some day I will fix all that crap.:sleepy10:

Is it hard for one to change pins, or would a pro have to tackle it? Asking because my door seems in a lil bit than the rest.
