Door Arm Rest Replacement

My '07 Denali is showing some common wear/tear issues now that I've passed 120K miles.

Of particular concern today is the drivers side door arm rest, which is cracking.
Online parts searches seem to imply that I have to replace the entire interior door panel to replace the arm rest pad. Seems odd, but the issue is also compounded by the fact that the cashmere Denali door panels are a bit harder to come by also. Still, I'd hate to think I have to spend $300+ just to change the arm rest pad.

Any ideas?

Still curious, though...if there's a resource out there I haven't located to just buy the arm rest pad...?

The arm rest pad is all one piece with the door panel. I learned that when I had to replace my door. You would think they would have designed the arm rest as a separate piece. I ended up finding a vinyl shop that filled in my crack and painted it with gm cashmere paint. Looks good but off by a tiny bit on the shade. Not enough to bother me.

This is very frustrating. I want to get custom armrest pads made and the only option I have right now is to either purchase additional door panels and disassemble them, or disassemble my current ones. The wife won't ride around with no door panels for a couple weeks while the shop is making patterns...
