Can I get some ASSistance in removing the door panels as well as the mirror caps?

I have some black door handles coming in addition to some mirror caps that I'm going to paint black to replace all the chrome stuff off the LTZ.

Thanks for any help and pictures.

The mirror caps come off easily but they're very sensitive. Use a flat-head screwdriver in the thickest opening you can find between it and the mirror housing, and pry towards you. In a lot of cases, you will end up breaking some/all of the 3 tabs that help keep it in place. I've managed to remove mine without breaking any, so it is possible.

As for the door panel, you need to remove the triangular piece on the top corner, and remove the foam piece. Also pry up the switches and disconnect all the wiring. Then, behind the chrome interior door handle, there is a small cover with an indention, use the flat-head to pry it off and there will be a bolt behind it. I think it's either 7mm or 10mm. Next, look behind the door pull (the part you grab to shut the door), there's another cover and behind it are 2 more bolts.

After that, you would be best to start from the bottom; use the screwdriver to pry the panel towards you just enough to get a few fingers under there and pull. It might feel like you're breaking it but you're not. The panel's tabs will start popping out of place, and then you can lift it up, use a needle-nose pair of pliers to remove the door lock cable, and you can set the panel aside.

For the mirror are you talking about prying up from the front lateral seam from where it mounts to the door or around the periphery where the glass itself is?

Thanks for the info on the door, I'm guessing the triangular piece pops off? I'd seen the clip access panels behind the door handle and on the door lock itself.

'Preciate it!

If you want just the cap off, you don't need to pry it off the door. Just stick the screwdriver between the chrome cap and the black plastic housing of the mirror. With a little force it should come out.

Yes, you can just pull the triangular piece off very easily.
