I just got off the phone with the Chevy dealership who is fixing my rear end. The service rep told me my spiders gears wear worn out due to my driveline being out of alignment because the truck was lowered. I've heard of it from lifted a truck, but not from lowering it. If this is true, is there a fix to it, beside raising the truck back up?

As in rear set up, you mean what kind of springs or whatnot? If so, it's just whatever springs came with the McGaughys kit. Although the tech at the shop did say the springs where installed wrong. Didn't know you could install a spring wrong, unless it was upside down. The 4.10's were install by a performance shop here in NC.

that g80 rear end is junk. ive swapped out many of them and its not because of the lowering. True the 4.10 gears with maggie doenst help. What i usually do is run a 4.10 (gm performance gears) along with a 3000-3200 stall with the maggies on the tahoes but with the powertrax rear diff. trust me that set up with a mt drag rad on a 08 tahoe I did that street races with me a lot has no issues.

Did a little research on the powertrax, and it sounds like it might be worth the money. I'm pretty sure I've already got like a 2400 stall, you think I need to move to a 3000? How is the streetability of the powertrax from your standpoint? This truck is my daily driver.
