Have an '03 Z71, when I got it (I was too excited on the test drive I suppose) the left mirror signal, pedal adjust, and driver door auto lock did not, and still do not work. I have a box of fuses and the tester but I've read online that this and automatic transmission failure (which mine has a new one because) are the two most common problems. I have not checked the other half (the first half were good) as the plastic tool that came with them sucks and I just moved into my house and I wanted to find my needle nose.
Has anyone had this problem and it be something other than fuses? I've already checked the ones associated with the driver door according to the drivers manual. It sucks walking up to the how, pressing the fob, and then having to unlock the door too.
Also, more recently (since I've owned it) the "switch" in the door has stopped working for shutting off the electronics when I open my door. My touchscreen stays on as well as the headlights (I open my door with them on and turn them to auto ones its open to turn them off) and my over head lights until everything shuts off automatically like 10 min later. Have been watching my battery and it seems to be ok because of that 10 min shut off. Easy fix? I am a construction worker, so technically compitent but unfamilular with automotive repair
