I have a friend that has a 2002 Chevy Suburban and the driver door will not lock with the lock button inside the door or with the key fob. Any ideas? Im gearing more towards it being the wiring? Is there a harness that I can replace?

Yes it will unlock with the key. Just not through power(i.e. inside with button or with fob)
Does the fob seem to produce any noise inside the door? I'd pull the door panel off and check the levers when he's ready to get down to business

Probably the motor in the lock actuator assembly, which is a common failure point. I have replaced these assemblies in both my rear doors; cost is roughly $100 each.
