Driver door won't lock

The door won't lock but the security system thinks it is and will still sound if you open it without putting the key in door and acting like you unlock it!! It always f**ks up my buddies at the boat ramp, it's kind of funny - until I got broken into over the holidays, left over $6,000 of guns in there over night...

I need a driver door latch assembly. don't want to spend the big bucks from dealer for the little black assembly. Anybody got the part or know where I can get one on the cheap?

Are you sure the latch is bad? If any of the other doors aren't completely closed, the driver door won't lock even though the others will.

yeah all the doors are closed, positive. I removed the assembly and it appears that the white piece that moves the rod to release the latch is broke. I was told that I need to replace the assembly. Thanks for the reply
