Hi all, well i replaced the motor and regulator in the drivers door of my 97 gmc yukon and i cut the plugs off and wired it together cause one was damaged. About a month later it stops working and i notice the passangers cant roll thier windows down but i can on the drivers door so this leads me to believe the normal/lock switch is shot and i noticed that switch doesnt light up at all at night like the rest do. my question is would that switch make the drivers window not work by chance? does anyone have a schematic for this? any help would be greatly appreciated.

when in the lock position only the driver can control the windows. passengers are locked out. it sound like an internal master switch fault. I can get you a digram but I must warn you in the window control area it is going to be a lot of connecting dots.

Ok i got the wiring diagram but i ran out to the salvage yard and got a different master control switch and the normal/unlock switch that controls the passenger window and i have the very same problem. Now i know there is no guarentee these switches were good after sitting in the bone yard for god knows how long but someone suggested the body control module behind the passenger kick panel, does anyone know if that is a possibility?

you should not have a body control module on a '97 unit but there is the window, door lock and speaker wire connectors behind each kick panel.
