I've got a 2003 Denali XL with power heated seats. For the past few months The switch has been operating in reverse (push forward seat goes backwards). I've read the tech bullitan about getting the controller reprogrammed.

The current situation is that the seat is almost all the way back and it only travels about 1/2 an inch. Strangly pushing forward makes the seat go forward, pushing back makes it go back. But only travels a little bit and stops. Does not seem jambed, motor actually stops.

Before I start the costly process of dealerships is there anything I can do to try and get this worked out? Is the switch on the passenger side the same as driver side? Could I swap to see if that is the problem? Anything else I could try before I start pouring 100's into a 12 year old car?

All other seat positions work, backrest forward back, seat bottom up down etc.

Thanks,

Roveer

Place you hand on the motor and see if it feels hot or warm to touch. Your motor is probably going out signals are getting crossed from the controller.

Needs a reflash from the dealer to the power seat module. Should be free.
