Drivers seat motor just spinning, seat not moving

The motor driving the rear height adjustment on my driver's seat is not working. The motor is running, but the seat does not move. Is this a known problem with an easy/cheap remedy?

the motor must have worn out - or the seat track is out of place

you may want to do a visual inspection under the seat- or take the seat out and look at the tracks and motor(s)
