I have a 2004 Tahoe LS and have a problem where the drivers side air blows hot while the passenger side remains cool. I have seen numerous "thoughts" on what it is i.e. the actuator door etc. How can I pinpoint exactly which actuator is the one in question? I have heard the left door actuator and I have heard its the blend door actuator.

I swapped out the actuator door. It re-calibrated itself. Now all it does is blow hot air thru all the vents regardless of the a/c being on or not. It also doesnt matter where I set the air dircetion to (floor, face, defrost, etc.)

Did you ever check the freon level? Jeez that seems a little easier then replacing a blend door.....and smarter.

I'll give that a shot.. The door would make loud clicking noises for no reason.. That's why I swapped it out

Are you sure it did it itself?

Turn the AC to cold on full blast. Turn truck off. Disconnect battery for min. Turn truck back on and put AC cold full blast
