Drum Size

Hello all..

Newbie to the site, and found the site and the folks very helpful..Thanks.

I have done key word searches and have not been able to pull up anything on my question...

Looking to order stainless steel brake lines for my 1999, 4x4, 4 door Tahoe. I am seeing there are 2 different drum sizes for this year, a 10" and 11". Is there a way to know without pulling the tire off which size I have?

Also looking for suggestions on other places to get SS line. Seems Goodridge has a pretty good following. I have found them for $86. Does this seem reasonable? I am not sold on the one's from ebay based on an earlier phone conversation I had with them earlier. Looking to hear any/all suggestions.

I was up at O'riley's a few weekends ago and had the same question. He looked it up and said that mine was thw 10". The 11" was for the tahoes with the police package.

Just did mine about a month ago & I have 10" rear drums.... Mine is a '96 Z71 4X4 2DR... So I'm not sure where the 11" come into play....

First off, welcome to the forum. Glad to see women are joining too. Your best bet is to take of the wheel, it's not all that hard. This isn't something you should be guessing. If you're strong enough to use the manual jack and socket you can get the wheel off in ten minutes.

Most likely it's a 10" drum. As previously stated, the 11" is for the police package.

No prob. thats how I found out I had 11in. drums to.

99 LT 4x4 and it has 11" rear drums.
